Una colección inspirada en los sonidos de la colombianidad, los artistas embajadores de la música local y sus más grandes éxitos.

La moda es inherente a la música, y la colección “El Rock de mi Pueblo” le hace tributo a esta afirmación; los 5 diseños que conforman esta novedosa propuesta conceptualizan el proyecto musical de Carlos Vives y el de cada uno de los artistas de su sello discográfico Gaira Música Local: Gusi, Estereobeat, Distrito Especial y Esteban Nieto.
El criollismo, lo raizal, y el amor por la localidad hacen parte del ADN que comparten Gaira Música Local y la marca antioqueña Bohío Playa; el proyecto de hacer una colección que representara el sonido que hace 3 décadas creó Carlos Vives junto a La Provincia, y que posteriormente han llevado los artistas locales por el mundo, nació gracias a la amistad, la identificación por lo propio y la conexión que el ícono global de la música colombiana tiene con las generaciones que crecieron escuchando su música.
Es así como los dos equipos sumaron sus fuerzas creativas para hacer realidad este proyecto; la conceptualización estuvo a cargo de Bohío Playa y de la ilustradora Sara Ospina Acosta, quien hizo el arte de los 5 diseños plasmados en camisas, camisones y shorts. “El Rock de mi Pueblo” es una colección unisex con estampados en maxiprint, y trazos artísticos y pictóricos, enmarcada por sus creadores dentro de lo que ellos mismos han denominado como tendencia “Criollivintage”.
El primer diseño está inspirado en Carlos Vives y en su esencia, que es inconfundible. El concepto de su sonido, al que llamó ‘El Rock de mi Pueblo‘, está representado en una fusión de color y de símbolos que han marcado su exitosa carrera artística como la guitarra y la bicicleta, además de elementos típicos bogotanos, samarios y cumbieros.
El arte inspirado en Gusi, se podría definir como una obra abstracta de expresionismo caribeño. Guitarras, atardeceres, su emblemática canción “La Mandarina”, y desde luego el mar, hacen parte de este cálido diseño.
Para el diseño de Distrito Especial se plasmó la expresión de la Bogotá rockera y clásica, con la arquitectura del emblemático barrio La Candelaria, escenario natural que sirvió como inspiración y plataforma para la música de esta legendaria banda. El arte, también es un tributo a uno de sus más recientes éxitos “No Tire Tanta Bala” y le hace un guiño al rock and roll internacional, con una especie de puente entre Londres y la capital de Colombia.
Otra de las características en las que convergen Carlos Vives, Gaira Música Local y Bohío Playa es la responsabilidad social y ambiental.
