El próximo 11 de abril se estrenará Hermanas, la película dirigida por Paola Ochoa, producida por Extranjero Films y Amplitud.

Hermanas es una película documental en la que se retrata la vida familiar de cuatro hermanas, mientras pasan vacaciones juntas. Siendo un retrato íntimo de la familia de Paola Ochoa, en la que el matriarcado marca la sororidad, los amores y desamores, el humor de la vida, los retos y los sacrificios de ser mujeres y madres en un país como Colombia.

Hermanas es una película llena de risas y sentimientos profundos, que dejan al descubierto la mirada de la directora, los encuentros y desencuentros a los que se enfrenta quien vuelve a sus raíces.

Cada año mis tías y mi madre, cuatro mujeres de clase media en sus 60, comparten las vacaciones juntas. Después de haber vivido amores y desamores, ninguna tiene pareja hoy en día. Así, sin hombres alrededor, sus discusiones sentidas y llenas de humor sobre la vida y el amor, revelan un retrato íntimo y profundo de lo que significa ser mujer en la vibrante Colombia contemporánea.

Tradicionalmente las mujeres han sido excluidas del ámbito público. Como consecuencia sus espacios privados se han convertido en el lugar de intercambio de ideas, experiencias, y transmisión de valores. Por eso Paola toca en esta película documental la experiencia de crecer mujer en Colombia desde la intimidad de su propia familia. Al traer a la luz las ideas, actitudes y pensamientos profundos de las mujeres, permitiendo que ellas sean valoradas, consideradas e incorporadas en la forma en que entienden el mundo.
