📚 La Biblioteca Pública Manuel Zapata Olivella – El Tintal reabre oficialmente sus puertas el próximo 18 de octubre, en un acto que contará con la presencia del arquitecto de este espacio de lectura, Daniel Bermúdez.
📚 Tras una inversión cercana a los 2.900 millones de pesos, este espacio cultural vuelve a brillar con una infraestructura renovada, más sostenible y pensada para seguir transformando la vida de miles de habitantes del suroccidente de la ciudad.
Desde su inauguración en 2001, la Biblioteca Pública Manuel Zapata Olivella – El Tintal ha sido un espacio de conocimiento, cultura y transformación urbana en la localidad de Kennedy. Construida sobre una antigua planta de tratamiento de basuras, hoy representa uno de los proyectos más simbólicos de recuperación del espacio público en Bogotá.
Durante este año, la biblioteca inició un proceso de intervención integral que permitió reemplazar por completo el cielo raso del inmueble y migrar su sistema de iluminación a tecnología LED, más eficiente y sostenible. También se realizaron adecuaciones que permiten aprovechar mejor la luz natural y brindan una experiencia más cálida y acogedora a los visitantes.
“La reapertura de la Biblioteca Manuel Zapata Olivella es una celebración de la lectura, la arquitectura y la comunidad. Este espacio renovado vuelve a ser punto de encuentro para las familias, los jóvenes y los lectores del suroccidente de Bogotá”, afirmó Andrea Victorino, Directora de Lectura y Bibliotecas de la Secretaría de Cultura, Recreación y Deporte y BibloRed.
El auditorio, con capacidad para 140 personas, fue completamente renovado. Se instaló nueva silletería con criterios de accesibilidad universal y se modernizó el sistema eléctrico y de iluminación artística, garantizando mejores condiciones para los eventos culturales y comunitarios que allí se desarrollan.
Estas obras fueron posibles gracias a una inversión de 2.900 millones de pesos, financiados con recursos del Sistema General de Regalías, reafirmando el compromiso de la ciudad con el acceso a la cultura y la educación de calidad.
Con esta reapertura, la Biblioteca Pública Manuel Zapata Olivella – El Tintal fortalece su papel como un espacio vivo para la cultura, la educación y la participación ciudadana. Su renovación no solo mejora la infraestructura, sino que también contribuye al compromiso de Bogotá por el acceso equitativo al conocimiento, la sostenibilidad y el bienestar de sus comunidades.
