Cuando yo diga Hop ustedes dicen Hip o manos, manos, manos» son las dos frases más usadas en los eventos de este amplio género musical llamado Hip Hop, que desde sus inicios (1970), ha hecho historia y sigue más fuerte que nunca.
En 1970 en las calles de Nueva York (Estados Unidos), nacía un movimiento artístico que cambiaría la vida de muchos jóvenes a nivel mundial.
La cultura Hip Hopper se compone de cuatro elementos MC (master of ceremony // maestro de ceremonia), B-boy, B-girl, grafiteros y el DJ, que al unirse dan una mezcla de poder y arte en su máximo esplendor.
Mientras que el Hip Hop en Colombia no llegó a los beats ni a las canciones, sino gracias a las películas como, por ejemplo: Beat Street, la cual relata la cultura urbana en Nueva York (Estados Unidos), y al ver todas esas vivencias, la agrupación bogotana La Etnnia se dejó contagiar por la cinta. Que en sus inicios se dedicaron a hacer break dance el 5-27 (nomenclaturade la dirección de su hogar en el barrio Las Cruces y queactualmente se ha convertido en su sello disquero 5-27 Récords), y que al son de hoy, la banda de los hermanos Pimienta (Kany, Kaiser y Ata), han representado a nivel mundial nuestro país.
Y en los 80’s las ciudades de Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla y por supuesto Bogotá empezaron a consolidar el género con gran demanda. Donde artistas como: Gotas de Rap, Los Nandez, Esk-lones, Caña Brava, Laberinto ELC, MC Kano, Tres Coronas, Kiño, Clan Hueso Duro, Asilo 38, Engendros del Pantano… entre otros empezaron a surgir, para luego Colombia convertirse en uno de los países latinoamericanos con más proyección del género a nivel mundial.
Pero, así como todo tiene sus pros y contras, el Hip Hop no es la excepción, el género es una forma de expresión que, a través de sus liricas, grafitis, bailes e incluso vestimenta manifiestan sus ideales. Pero también es tachado como un género «sucio», donde sus versos hablan únicamente de drogas, delincuencia… pero es porque solo se han fijado en lo superficial, sin darse cuenta que su pluma y el papel es su arma letal.
La conclusión que dejamos en Germador, es que no juzguemos a nadie por sus gustos, al contrario, impregnémonos de todo lo bueno, desechemos todo lo malo y seamos felices, porque bajo este cielo todos somos iguales de una forma desigual.
