En el marco del 100º aniversario de Disney, el 23 de noviembre llega a los cines la nueva película de Walt Disney Animation Studios, WISH: El Poder de los Deseos, que honra el legado de Disney con una nueva historia ambientada en el reino de Rosas, donde Asha, una ingeniosa soñadora, pide un deseo tan poderoso que es escuchado por una fuerza cósmica: una esfera de energía ilimitada llamada Estrella. Asha, Estrella y Valentino – la cabra favorita de Asha – se enfrentan al imponente Rey Magnífico para demostrar que cuando la voluntad de una persona valiente se une a la magia de las estrellas, pueden ocurrir cosas maravillosas.
En el nuevo contenido adicional, Jennifer Lee (Frozen: Una Aventura Congelada, Frozen 2), Chris Buck (Frozen: Una Aventura Congelada, Frozen 2) y Fawn Veerasunthorn (Raya Y El Último Dragón) revelan detalles sobre la creación de la película, sus fuentes de inspiración y reflexionan sobre el lugar que ocupa el legado de historias de Disney.
Etapa de Brainstorming:
Dar vida a la historia que celebra cien años de magia de Disney fue pura inspiración para los realizadores de Wish: El Poder de los Deseos. Todo empezó en 2018, cuando la co-guionista y productora ejecutiva Jennifer Lee (Frozen: Una Aventura Congelada, Frozen 2) había sido recientemente nombrada directora creativa de Walt Disney Animation Studios y comenzó a conversar con el co-guionista y co-director Chris Buck —director de Frozen: Una Aventura Congelada y Frozen 2— sobre cómo el film debía honrar el centenario del estudio. Rápidamente, Buck colocó imágenes de todas las películas del estudio en un pasillo, y algo saltó a la vista rápidamente.
“Los acontecimientos mundiales que ocurrían oscilaban desde el júbilo, como cuando el hombre llegó a la Luna, hasta la devastación, con los desastres naturales y las guerras. A través de todo eso estaba la constante de la esperanza e inspiración que ofrecían las películas de Disney. Cuando uno se da cuenta de que estas películas sobrevivieron todos los climas, es muy emocionante”. Comenta el productor Peter Del Vecho, quien participó de esas primeras sesiones de pensamiento creativo.
A partir de ahí, el equipo se sumergió en la filmoteca del estudio e investigó la historia del propio Walt Disney, preguntándose quién era, qué lo inspiraba, qué tipo de líder había sido. “Hasta investigamos su niñez en la granja de Marceline, en Misuri. Algunas historias hablan de cachorros de animales vestidos con ropa, lo que fue la inspiración para nuestra cabrita, Valentino, que está vestida de piyama”, cuenta el productor Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones.
La identidad de magnífico, el emblemático villano de la película también surgió de esas sesiones, cuando los realizadores se propusieron dar vida a un clásico villano de Disney. “Queríamos un villano que el público pudiera reconocer como de los primeros tiempos”, subraya Buck y agrega: “Wish: El Poder de los Deseos tiene bastantes guiños a nuestro legado. Algunos estarán escondidos. Otros, serán más evidentes”.
En un ambiente lleno de magia, los colombianos disfrutaron de la premiere de Wish: El Poder de los Deseos, en conmemoración de los 100 años de Disney

✨ En medio de una alfombra azul y montaje inspirado en la película, fanáticos y celebridades pudieron disfrutar de este homenaje a los sueños que se hacen realidad.
✨ Este lanzamiento es la conmemoración de los 100 años de la magia de Disney en la pantalla grande.
En un ambiente lleno de magia, se celebró en simultáneo en Bogotá y Medellín la premier de Wish: El Poder de los Deseos, la nueva película animada de Disney, del director ganador del Oscar® Chris Buck.
La cinta continúa la tradición de Disney Animation de llevar historias épicas a la gran pantalla para disfrutar en familia y marca la culminación de Disney 100, una celebración de un año de duración que honra el legado de Walt Disney mientras continúa empujando los límites de la narración y la innovación para los próximos 100 años.
En medio de un montaje inspirado en la película, cientos de fanáticos y personalidades de la farándula colombiana como Ana María Estupiñán y Estefanía Gómez, entre otros, pasaron por la alfombra azul en compañía de sus familias, y disfrutaron juntos de las aventuras de Asha y sus amigos para salvar el reino de Rosas y celebrar el poder de los deseos.
Los asistentes pudieron interactuar de cerca con elementos de la película y el reino de Rosas y vivieron una experiencia inmersiva en la cual se hizo, al ritmo de la música, un homenaje a los sueños que se hacen realidad.
Los cerca de 800 invitados al evento fueron los primeros colombianos en disfrutar de la película que estará disponible en todos los cines del país desde el 23 de noviembre.
Mi Deseo, la canción original de la película
Mi Deseo es la nueva canción original de Wish: El Poder de los Deseos interpretada por María León, la voz de Asha en la versión en español para Latinoamérica de la película. El sencillo ya está disponible en Spotify y YouTube @DisneyMusicLAVevo.
El filme además cuenta con siete canciones originales escritas por la cantante y compositora nominada al Grammy® Julia Michaels y el productor, compositor y músico ganador del Grammy® Benjamin Rice.
Wish: El Poder de los Deseos, transporta a los espectadores al reino mágico de Rosas, donde Asha, una ingeniosa soñadora, pide un deseo tan poderoso que es escuchado por una fuerza cósmica: una pequeña esfera de energía ilimitada llamada Estrella.
