WCAR, es un One Stop Marketplace apalancado en IA para comprar o vender autos usados y sus servicios indispensables con información brutalmente transparente, brindando un servicio altamente personalizado acompañando la evolución del usuario. En total, en Latinoamérica se registran alrededor de 12 millones de transacciones anuales que involucran autos usados.
Sin embargo, uno de los mayores problemas que afrontan las personas cuando están en busca de un vehículo usado es la escasa información disponible, bien sea porque el vendedor no la suministra, porque no está disponible en ningún lado, o porque no es obligatorio difundirla, por ejemplo el informe de accidentes de los autos, kilometraje reportado cada año, el verdadero estado del vehículo, entre muchos otros, haciendo que los compradores (y a veces los vendedores) tengan mucha incertidumbre
Ese vacío en el mercado es el que WCAR quiere llenar con su concepto de ‘Transparencia brutal’, que según Walther Carvajal, CEO de la compañía, consiste en ser “totalmente claros con nuestros clientes y facilitar el acceso a la información, por ejemplo publicando los peritajes en la web totalmente gratis, además de complementar con informes de reclamaciones e historial real del vehículo”.
Carvajal agrega que uno de los objetivos de WCAR es hacer que el mercado de los autos usados en Colombia y Latinoamérica sea totalmente transparente para los compradores, en especial cuando se trata de una modalidad novedosa en nuestra región, como es el de la compra 100% en línea de automotores. Walther agrega que WCAR se está convirtiendo en un motor de transformación cultural que apunta a convertir a los latinoamericanos en un epicentro de transparencia y consumidores más exigentes e informados.
“El 50% de nuestros clientes reservan su vehículo sin haberlo visto en persona y alrededor del 12% reciben sus autos usados comprados en la plataforma sin jamás tener contacto físico sino hasta la entrega; eso requiere de una comunicación que no esconde ninguna información, por más pequeña que sea. Nuestro principal objetivo es, entonces, que los usuarios de WCAR tengan todos los datos del vehículo que les interesa adquirir y así generar la suficiente confianza como para depositar su dinero para reservar un auto a través de la plataforma”, aclara Carvajal.
De esta manera, la compañía quiere educar a los compradores para que se pregunten por qué las demás firmas del sector de autos usados no les están brindando la información fundamental que, por derecho, deben entregar para que el proceso de venta sea satisfactorio.
Además de eso, WCAR quiere generar un impacto ambiental mediante el reacondicionamiento de vehículos y darles una segunda vida útil generando así un impacto ambiental positivo. “Un auto usado con el mantenimiento correcto puede contaminar menos que al fabricar un nuevo auto, pues se requieren menos recursos naturales para satisfacer el mismo propósito de movilidad”.
Un tercer propósito de WCAR es dar transparencia al problema de asignación de precios, pues los usuarios de WCAR podrán encontrar una solución en línea a través de la cual los precios se calcularán técnicamente, así, tanto para el cliente que compra un auto como para el que lo vende la ansiedad de saber si el precio es correcto le quedará resuelta mediante tecnología y estadísticas que hace más claro el proceso de valoración, reduciendo así todas las asimetrías de información y las fricciones que puedan incomodar al comprador durante el proceso.
Este modelo le ha permitido a la compañía sumar 900 unidades puestas en el mercado desde 2022, cuando comenzó a operar en Colombia.
Tecnología que fortalece las relaciones humanas
Para WCAR, la tecnología es la herramienta más poderosa para lograr su objetivo de ofrecer a los compradores esa ‘transparencia brutal’ con la que quiere cambiar el mercado de los autos usados e impactar la cultura, facilitando la vida a cada persona y fortaleciendo relaciones en los negocios.
Dicho esto, la compañía en sólo 1 año de existencia ha logrado algunos desarrollos novedosos que diferencian su oferta en el sector.
El primero es la plataforma WCAR. Allí, los usuarios pueden ingresar y llevar a cabo la transacción de compra del vehículo que más les interese, con el peritaje del vehículo disponible totalmente online que ha sido efectuado por un tercero que le da validez, transparencia e independencia a ese proceso.
“El sitio de WCAR cuenta con un botón que le permite al cliente proceder a la compra del auto. También puede hacer el proceso de financiación tradicional pero digitalmente para que sea revisado por uno de los 13 bancos aliados. Como novedad, ahora mismo se cuenta con un motor de crédito que complementa la oferta, mediante el cual se pueden desembolsar en 5 minutos hasta 10 millones de pesos sin adjuntar un solo documento”, explica Walther Carvajal.
El segundo desarrollo de WCAR es la AI WCalculator, una herramienta basada en inteligencia artificial que permite hacer un cálculo técnico de precios para evitar la especulación del mercado. “Este desarrollo propio permitirá a nuestros clientes en los próximos meses identificar el precio real del su auto en el mercado, además de validar si es buen momento para vender su vehículo”, dice Carvajal. El objetivo de WCAR es apalancarse de la tecnología para entregar información completa y transparente a los usuarios para que tomen decisiones realmente informados.
Siempre cara a cara
Junto con este ecosistema tecnológico, WCAR entrega asesoría personalizada potenciada por los canales tecnológicos, además cuenta con tres sedes físicas ubicadas en Morato (Bogotá), Cajicá, y un taller en la capital del país.
Como política con una impronta de transparencia, si el usuario reserva el auto online y al momento en que lo ve no es lo que esperaba, WCAR le devuelve el dinero abonado, sin ningún tipo de cobro. Pero si la persona quiere ver el carro antes de decidirse a adquirirlo, puede agendar una cita para conocerlo y saber si cumple con sus expectativas, reconociendo así que hay personas que están listos para hacer transacciones online y otros que prefieren visitar físicamente los puntos de venta.
“No queremos limitarnos a vender autos. Por eso, y a pesar de nuestra potente plataforma tecnológica, nos acercamos mucho a la gente para responder a sus inquietudes, no con un chatbot, sino de humano a humano, aprovechando las herramientas tecnológicas para que esta conversación sea realmente fluida.
